Hi, My Question is on network topology?

In ring topology, if one node gets down then will the whole network downs? or it can choose another way to transfer the data. please answer me on my email. bkpuja_28@yahoo.co.in

In token ring wired topology, if any node goes, the network is inoperative entirely.

In a properly wired ring one break should be OK... two breaks will cut the 'ring' into two pieces.

Depends on the network technology used to build it. If it's old skool token ring, it breaks. If it's an ethernet ring, you're fine. The ring is there to provide redundnacy. If one link breaks, everyone can still talk to each other.
