My Broadband connection regularly fails. If I connect my BT phone to a dial tone it then connects!? |
This problem is itermittent but can continue for several days sometimes. I have had this same problem with three different internet providers so I'm guessing its not the providers end that is causing the problem. Any help most appreciated. As others have suggested make sure you have a filter on ALL of your phone sockets, not just the socket you connect your ADSL modem to. Sounds like a dodgy DSL filter to me.. Or you've got an extension in the house without a filter in it... Sources : check for your network card and dsl filter change the filter and don't use the extensoin if u use one if that doesn't do the trick get in touch with yr provider they will be able to resolve the problem with you they then will do a a check on yr line |
